Post Problem with repositories. (Dynamic MMap ran out of room)

Hey guys, I added Ubuntu repos to Debian and everytime I try to install a package it says something like this:

Code:
E: Dynamic MMap ran out of room. Please increase the size of APT::Cache-Limit. Current value: 25165824. (man 5 apt.conf)
E: Error happened while processing thunderbird-locale-si (NewVersion1)
E: Problem with MergeList /var/lib/apt/lists/es.archive.ubuntu.com_ubuntu_dists_lucid-updates_main_binary-i386_Packages
W: Unable to munmap
Does anyone knows why this happens or how to fix it?

You should do what it says: Please increase the size of APT::Cache-Limit.

The command to find out how is "man 5 apt.conf". You can read up on the "man" command with "man man". If you get an error, your manpages aren't installed and you can ... erm, yank the new repos from your sources so you can then install the manpages package.

Ok, I'll try that later and see how it goes. Thanks for the fast reply.

Check this thread and see if anything there helps.
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...e-list-233417/

Basically
1. run "apt-get clean"
2. increase the cache limit size following instructions in that thread -- note that some people really had to crank it up, and you have to be careful not to fill the partition /var is sitting on.

Thanks! what arch0njw said worked for me with a 50000000 limit for the cache.
