Hi Guido e benvenuto,
Why are you using make to install a package? Can you give the command you gave that produced the errors? The output from aptitude shows that gcc is installed.
ciao,
jdk

ok:
i'm trying to install a perl module named Parsepdb (http://comp.chem.nottingham.ac.uk/parsepdb/)
the instructions say to go in the folder in which the executables are located and type the following commands:

perl Makefile.PL
make
make install

here is the output of my command line
guido@guido-laptop:~/Scrivania/ParsePDB$ perl Makefile.PL
Writing Makefile for ParsePDB
guido@guido-laptop:~/Scrivania/ParsePDB$ ls
blib COPYING Makefile Makefile.PL ParsePDB.pdf ParsePDB.pm testparser
guido@guido-laptop:~/Scrivania/ParsePDB$ make
make: execvp: chmod: File name too long
make: *** [blib/lib/.exists] Error 127

grazie :-)
