Problem with Grub loader

Hey,
I tried installing RH7.2 with my friend on his machine. but i selected the option `install boot loader in the first segment of the hard disk hda1` when asked to do so. when installing the same on my system i chose the MBR.
now the problem is that my friend cant boot into RH7.2, there is no Grub loader . how can i solve this problem? please help.

By NOT putting grub in the MBR of your buddy's machine, there are no instructions for the BIOS to go look in hda1 for boot instructions.

Boot from the resuce disk you made during installation, then run
Code:
grub-install /dev/hda
to put grub in the master boot record.
