Well.. about MSN... as of October 15th they are no longer accepting connections from clients that try to connect with any protocol which is not Protocol 9.
I think something similar happens to Yahoo!.
However, I believe the new GAIM works with the new protocols. You should try updating your GAIM version to the latest one.
I have installed the new gaim version and can now connect to yahoo. However, i can't find any MSN accounts to create. It is not in the list, any advice?
If you're running 7.1 it should be one of your options. If you're running something less the you would have to fine a plugins windows (should be in the menu's somewhere) and it will let you add the msn library to add the proticol.
Are you sure msn isn't listed? I'm sure that the newest version is the only one that will connect with yahoo. The newest version is 7.1 and mine has msn as an option
