Problem GUI?

I have downloaded wine and winex and I am using the gui mode as im not too great on text based mode yet. Every time I install I get the following error message.
''The signature of the package ''wine***'' is not correct''
''No GPG signature in package''
''Continue with installation anyway?''
If I continue with instalation, the program does not appear anywhere and it dosnt work. However when I try to reinstall, it tells me that it is already installed. I would appreaciate any help on this. Thanks.

Wine/winex doesn't just appear on your programs list... in fact, it's a real bi*ch to set up... I suggest you take a look at the documentation for wine/winex (typing man wine at a console should provide some clues).

If you expect wine/winex to work out-of-the-box, you are highly mistaken... maybe you should try other Windows emulator like Crossover or VMWare... Not free, but many people seem to find it easier than wine/winex.

As for me? I can't recommend any because I don't need to run any Windows app in Linux

Ill take a look at that command, thanks. If you had a stack of a 100 games designed to run on windows, you would know how I'm feeling. I tried ten times to get a duel boot system up and failed so I took the plunge and settled for linux. I'll also try one of those emulators. Does winex need wine or does it do both and better, plus what versions would you recommend for mandrake 9.1.

I belive winex is a build/version of wine but with DirectX support... if games are your primary concern, then I guess winex is the way to go
