Still waiting for Mandrake CD to arrive so another question. Does Mandrake work with all printers?

Thanks for the link. Mine won't work. Guess I'll use XP until I get a compatible printer.

check out www.linuxprinting.org

you might be able to dowload the ppd docs for your printer, and use CUPS to print

Why are you re-opening a thread that is over 3 years old???

Turboprint is a good product, but I have not found it necessary

Yes, I've used "Turboprint" and even bought a key. I use it once in a while when I run aground with standard linux printing. I kept that key file for 3 or four years through a multiude of linux systems. I stash it in my hotmail account, therefore if a have a crash or system upgrade it's always there to be found.

Most of the time CUPS will do a good job.
