hi guys...pls i need help coz im a beginner in linux system..the very first time i tried and finished the installation of Red Hat ver 9 without any trouble..but after the installtion and start the first boot the screen just turned black without any display..can u pls advise me what to do i dont know what is the problem this is my hardware config..

P4-3.0 Ghz
1 Ghz DDR RAM
Nvidia Geforce fx5200 256MB
10GB free partitioned space
Marvell Yukon Gigabit Ethernet (built-in LAN)
AverMedia TV Tuner w/FM

Try using Fedora Core 4 instead of REdhat 9. Redhat 9 is old and outdated and no longer recieves support and updates. It was replaced by FedoraCore and Redhat Enterprise Linux.

The driver for your graphic card is probably not installed. You can either try to compile it, or try a new dsitribution (Fedora Core 4). If you are a total newbie, the latter is recommended.
