Playing MP3 files

I noticed that the Red Hat Linux 9 distribution didn't come with a MP3 player.

Which player is the best for linux?

XMMS does the job for me...

Could you try searching for that answer?

Hello!

Download this RPM and install it with "rpm -ihv xmms-mp3-1.2.7-21.p.i386.rpm" then XMMS will play mp3's.
Another good player is Beep-Media-Player

Why mp3's are not suppported in redhat from version 9 till now...check:

http://www.gurulabs.com/downloads.html (where the mp3 plugin is)
