I am not sure which is the value for the video card .... there are several screens ... are they for the video card... ? when I said spkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86 again I am not sure if I had the right settings this time but it said I can look in the log file in the /var/log/XFree86.0.log for the source of the error and I have pasted what is in that log file below.. That post is way too wide.looks like a nvidia card using the nv driver,
looks like x started ok.Put that post in some code brackets or edit the first line its a mile wide.

hello its 12.24 at night and after 48 hours I was able to get this baby running...

THANK YOU... I doono what I changed... But I just said Vga I think where it said videochip bec it didnt have my option there

I am not sure if that did it but it works
