Unhappy out of resolution

hey..recently i have changed my colour depth from thousand colours to million colours on fedora 7 and now as soon as i start my pc.....i don't even get my login screen ...the screen just blanks out....and i cannot come out from the thing.got 82845G graphic card n i'll need some drivers for making the resolution look better if i need a 800x600 resolution with higher depths..the thing is atleast i used to get 600x800 resolution with 8 bit depth earlier but now m not even shown the login screen!
Is there a way to get out of init 5 level... in between ?some way in which i can come out from that hanged resolution and change back the depth using system-config-display --reconfig --set-depth=8 --set-resolution=800x600
command?????

When the grub splash screen is displayed press any key
Select the Linux boot choice and press the 'e' key
Select the kernel line and press the 'e' key again
At the end of the line add a space followed by the number three (3)
When done press the 'Enter' key followed by the 'b' key

Log on as root
Then type system-config-display --reconfig --set-depth=16 set-driver=i810

Check into using 955resolution via google or the many threads here on this forum.
