OS version and patch installed

Hi I am using RHEL

I want to know the OS version and patch installed. Is there any command which tells me about this.

To check RHEL version
#cat /etc/redhat-release,
what do you mean by patch??
did you upgrade kernel??
To check kernel version
#uname -a
