OLE2 compound Document Storage

I had some photos on my computer that were originally .jpeg, but somewhere in the process of transferring my files to another PC and then to Linux, they became .mix files. their properties say they are OLE2 compound Storage (applications/x-ole-storage)
I can not view them like this, how can I change them back to .jpeg?
