Question Oh-my-fish install aborted missing required command awk

Hello,

I am trying to install oh-my-fish on raspbian jessie, but I am getting:

Code:
install aborted: missing required command: awk
In this system I have GNU awk 4.1.1 installed.

Anyone?

you can check the dependencies for oh-my-fish by using apt-cache showpkg oh-my-fish (or however it is listed, i have never heard of that). that should show you if you may have the wrong version of awk installed. some of them don't matter, but i have ran into major problems trying to get retropie working on jessie due to the wrong version of something.

Seems like Oh-my-fish can only be installed in fish shell 2.2.0 version or higher, and in raspbian jessie, with apt-get install I can only get 2.1.0.

You have checked that there is a command or symlink called awk in your path?

On Linux systems awk links back to gawk. So, as grail remarked, check that /usr/bin/awk exists.

Yes it exists:

Code:
GNU Awk 4.1.1, API: 1.1 (GNU MPFR 3.1.2-p3, GNU MP 6.0.0)
