NVIDIA TNT2 problems. I already scanned all the NVIDIA stuff I could find on here.

I recently installed Linux on my computer. Then my roommate decided Linux was cool and wanted it too. I seem to be running into problems setting up his machine. He's running a NVIDIA TNT2 based card. I've read up on the NVIDIA problems in the forums, but I'm still having trouble. The most similar thing I've seen is another user who had "NVIDIA Kernal failed to initialize". Please let me know if you can help or point me at a thread I missed.

I've done everything I can think of. I've reinstalled the driver, reinstalled in expert mode (to check where the files are being installed), and even offered the computer a beer.

Here's my XFree86 log after I install the driver and change my driver in the XF86Config from "nv" to "nvidia"

Please post first part of /etc/X11/XF86Config file. I'm interested in "Load *" lines (they're at the beginning). It looks some of them need to be removed.

Mara,
Is there anything I can get off my computer to help you out? I just selected the card during the GUI installation when it asked for my card. I specifically looked for the TNT2 driver, because I believe it initially wanted to use one of the other NVIDIA drivers.
