Angry Nightmare Mouse

Hi,

I'm running Suse LEAP 42.2 on a Dell opltiplex 780

and a Logitech mouse but no matter the settingt I choose, the mouse is slow and many times unresponsive and hesitant.

I'm also running the same mouse on the win machine via a Belkin SOHO splitter and it's ok there!

I've also tried an Acer mouse but it's just the same.

Any advice gratefully received.

Regards

Chris

Divide & Conquer by eliminating possibilities.

How does it work without the splitter?
Have you tried different 'types' of mouse protocol?

Logitech mouse devices need their own peculiar protocol in many cases.

Check for change-able settings with xinput. Try a newer kernel, if it's a newer mouse, it might be poorly supported on older kernels. More of an issue with various pads though.

As a closer to this thread, I have replaced the keyboard and mouse with a Logitech K120 set with superb results!

The mouse is responsive in the way I like and the Pipe symbol is where it is supposed to be and works.

Regards to all

Chris
