I'm setting up a new laptop with Ubuntu on it. I'm trying to install an Epson wireless printer. Where do I find a devices URI?

Add a static IP address based on the printer's MAC address on your DHCP server so that it doesn't change. Then use the IP address as the printer URI.

Hello and welcome to LQ.

As above you need to find a way to make your printer available to the OS by some means. Either setting it static at printer or setting router to maintain it's lease or permanent lease. There are other ways also to use network discovery to be usable.

I've never done this (no wireless printer, no Ubuntu) but it seems that if the printer is switched on, Ubuntu should be able to detect it
