Ubuntu and java and a newbie linux user

To all,

I recently added this message as I had fedora 13 loaded on my computer.

Since then I read your replies and although they seemed like they would work. I spoke with my cousin and he recommended I try Ubuntu.

I have loaded the latest relase of ubuntu onto my laptop and I REALLY REALLY DO LIKE IT. I have also loaded the latest JDK for java onto my UBUNTU laptop and it is working.

Now my question or problem is what IDE do I load? JGRASP or is there a ubutu model for me to load? Y'all recommended eclipse for fedora 15, is that the IDE I should use for Ubuntu? PLEASE give me your recommendations.

Thank you.

You can use eclipse or Netbeans on any version of Linux. Netbeans is a Java IDE that is available from Oracle. There are several others...Google is a great resource.
