Question newbie install woes


howdy. i am trying to install slackware 9.0 beta from an image i downloaded from my school and burned onto a cd. it boots just fine. at the boot prompt i press enter, it begins to uncompress the first two files and then halts on a "crc error"....any ideas?

Do they offer MD5's on the iso's? You might just consider holding off for a bit, or getting an official 8.1 iso until 9.0 comes out.

If they offer MD5's then you should check the MD5 of your image against the one on the server.

results...

all i did was re-download the image, and burn it @ 4x instead of 8x and i'm all set.
