newbie woes

I'm extremely new to Linux. I just installed Red Hat 8, and towards the end of the install, it asks for video card type, rez, etc. Apparently it is not recognizing my vid card correctly.

When it goes to load the gui, it craps out and throws me into text mode. What commands to I type to rid the system of those display settings and/or get back to a point I can choose the correct vid card type and rez?

Thanks a bunch!!
