Question New install of Debian 9, please help troubleshoot errors

I have a new installation of Debian 9. Just completed. I got several error messages during boot, but the system works fine. I would like to make sure that I can properly understand Linux, so I would like to resolve the issues. I already searched the Internet and there are too many confusing details with too many different distros.

Most of the errors are ACPI related.

I can confirm, that when booting with other distros (gentoo for example), there are no erros whatsoever. I would like to use Debian though. The BIOS has no configuration issues either. So when finding different explanations on the Internet, previously I just made my system unusable (had to reinstall).

I have no troubleshooting skills with Linux, whatsoever, so I am looking for step by step instructions on how I would go about searching for a solution. My system is booted, I am at a console, so if anyone can help, great.

Please check out this thread:

TLDR - it's a common occurrence and nothing to worry about, i.e. there's nothing to fix.

Hi: & Welcome to LQ.

What exact errors are they? Can you post them?
Is this close to what you are getting in this link?

-::-If it's anything serious the dmesg log <or> the kernel log will show you any Errors or Warnings.-::-

When I ran Debian I used to have the same thing that you had going on but the system ran just fine and was stable so I left things alone.
