Network Neighbourhood in Linux

hi
I would be glad if anyone could tell me how to get a GUI for viewing my computers in my workgroup, i am in a LAN with 4 other computers, i revised some of the articles in this site and i found that samba gives this feature. Well i can just use

\\<name or ip address> in the browser

but you know it takes time to set into the linux mode when shifting from windows, bad habits take time to change ..

i havent used Redhat in a while, but i think in the gnome menu there should be an option for "network services" or something similar. That then brings up a network browser.
