network neighbourhood on linux


hello

n/w neighbourhood like on windows is available on any linux varsion ?
i am trying the same !
what should i read for reference ?

by boots !!!

Take a look at Samba. It is the Linux "equivalent" (more or less) of Windows' Network Neighbourhood. I am assuming you want to connect your Linux machine to Windows machines? Samba should fix you right up.
