Unhappy need help with Slackware X org graphics driver Sis 630/730

Hello I got an old Pc with Slackware 8.0 I know this version is pretty old but I like to mess with older operating systems and stuff. But I can't get X server to display right either the display is too big for the monitor or the display is too small. But I did find an old Slackware Linux driver sis 630/730 but when I unzipped the file it was there but when I dir the file, Slackware would say no such file or directory. My video card is a Sis 630/730. thank you for taking your time to help me

Update I saw that usually when Linux says no file or directory when the file does exists it means that you are running a 32bit software in a 64 bit Os. But I don't think that's my case here because this Pc is very old and is not 64 bit and the driver I highly doubt it is 64 bit

Please post your thread in only one forum. Posting a single thread in the most relevant forum will make it easier for members to help you and will keep the discussion in one place. This thread is being closed because it is a duplicate of http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...-a-4175596462/

helios98 also please note that rather than create a duplicate post and report the original one, the preferred method is to simply report this original post and request that it be moved to the Slackware forum. What this can cause is confusion because the exact same thread title is now visible in the search engine and those who happen to search for a similar answer will encounter both threads. The other potential problem which did not occur here is if different posters had offered responses in both threads before one of them got closed.
