mplayer stretches

Hi, I am trying how to figure out why when it put in a copy of flintstones cartoon dvd it has spanish playback.
Mplayer is the weapon if choice, kde.

I also have a question about totem, xine, and kaffeine. Mplayer is the only one that does not stretch the picture horizontally so that the pic is only a inch-or two tall.

Mplayer does it fine but the rest stretch it.

sounds like you're using the x11 output without the -zoom option. try using xv instead, but if you can't use it, -zoom is your friend
