mpeg decoder on suse

Hi,

I tried to play a video on opensuse 12.1, it was missing mpeg decoder. I tried to install it through yast but still I am receiving an error saying that it needs mpeg decoder!!

When I have successfully install mpeg from yast, why am I still unable to play the video? and why the mpeg decoder is still missing?

Add the "packman" and "vlc" repositories. In yast2, click the ADD button and select "community repositories" and press NEXT.
