What you need to do is create a shortcut to mozilla and then behind it put ' -mail'
example: /usr/bin/mozilla -mail

I'm not all that familar with 10 but in 9.1 go to start menu and then to networking and then "mail" and when you find your mozilla mail tab just click and drag it to your desktop or to the panel bar at the bottom of your screen, thats how I do it anyway, hope this helps.
