Lightbulb Mouse Cursors


I want to have the original classic x cursor set , how can I force my ubuntu to use that theme , knowing that it is not listed , in /usr/share/icons ?

Open the Synaptic package manager and search for "cursor" (not "cursors").

There are a number of cursor sets in the repos, at least for Ubuntu MATE. I'm not sure the one you are looking for is there, but that's a good first step.

What's "the original classic X cursor set" in your opinion? Please show us.
Which desktop environment do you use?
With GNOME, I don't think it's possible to fall back to Xorg's builtin; your best bet is to use a cursor theme that emulates that look, maybe you can find one here.

I'm using ubuntu-mate , I think it would be a problem to get the old school X cursors if it uses the system uses wayland instead of Xorg !
