Missing boot.b and chain.b files

I'm running a HD install of Knoppix 3.3, and am looking for boot.b and chain.b, which should apparently be in /boot, but they're not there or anywhere else. I read somewhere that they should be part of lilo, so I reinstalled the lilo package through apt-get (well, synaptic actually) but they're still not there. I tried looking through my (failed) Gentoo installation, but they're not there either.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think boot.b and chain.b are part of Grub instead of Lilo.

For Lilo, look at /etc/lilo.conf. It is very straightforward and similar to grub config file.

Well according to this page boot.b IS part of lilo, and it seems that in newer versions it includes chain.b.
