Mint Replace with UBUNTU


I bought a Laptop w/Mint, downloaded Ubunto 12iso, burned iso...stick the disk reboot....i am wireless installing while updates are being applied.
Will this take forever ??

Well.. What is your Wireless type/speed and what is your Internet Connection speed? And exactly which version of Ubuntu did are you installing? (12.04 LTS?)

Hi:

Welcome to LQ!

Depending on your wireless connection it shouldn't take more than maybe 30 min's-
Sometimes wireless connection speeds can fluctuate.

When I installed Ubuntu w/o the updates getting installed via a internet connection it took about 20 to 30 min's-
