Hi,
Though through prime I have selected gpu mode to "performance" but still in Steam's system information section and "About" section of system settings the GPU shows as the "Intel..."
So please help how do I make sure that my pc only use the dedicated GPU.

I do that in the BIOS setup.

More information is needed about the system - is this a laptop or a desktop? What other GPU(s) does it have (or do you believe it to have)? Are their drivers installed? What is the output of

 xrandr --listproviders

By default, provider 0 (the first provider) will be selected, but you can modify this behavior by prepending DRI_PRIME to whatever application (and Steam will accept this in application launch options as well) and select an alternate GPU.
