Mandrake 10.0 Install Issue

I am attempting to install Mandrake 10.0 on a Compaq Presario desktop pc, however I'm getting no where.

I insert CD 1 and boot, I hit enter to proceed past the first screen and the computer just reboots, goes back to the same screen, I choose continue again, and it just keeps rebooting like that. Has done it no matter what option I've selected.

Any ideas?

Check your BIOS setup, make sure it set to boot off the CDROM first. ......How much ram do you have?

it is booting from the CDROM first and I am running 256 for RAM.

At the first screen try typing text <enter>.

I have tried the text option, as well as every other option it presents me with, all with the same result.

I had a similar issue, I created a boot floopy on my brothers windows PC using disc 1 and I was able to start the installation okay through the boot floopy
