managing mysql using webmin = problem!

when i'm managing mysql using webmin
no matter doing what, whether create database user, drop database or what just get this error

Code:

Failed to create database : DBI connect failed : Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server; consider upgrading MySQL client

anyone can help?

Are u able to do it in command line.
Normal mysql open,connect and all operations?

Also if u specifically want to administer mysql database through browser try using phpmyadmin[a cool tool for database administration]
phpmyadmin is available in freshmeat.net

Basically, "MySQL 4.1 and up uses an authentication protocol based on a password hashing algorithm that is incompatible with that used by older clients."

just installed phpmyadmin...
and its also give me this message
#1251 - Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server; consider upgrading MySQL client

did you consider using mysql-admin ? it's a gui admin client provided by Mysql AB you should have a package available for it.. unless theres some reason you want a Web based client..
