Mailx -r option failing

I am running mailx -r command but getting elow response. It appears that our version of Linux doesn't support -r option. However the receiving system needs a reply to address. Is there I can force mailx to send a reply to address?

mailx: invalid option -- r
Usage: mail [-iInv] [-s subject] [-c cc-addr] [-b bcc-addr] to-addr ...
[-- sendmail-options ...]
mail [-iInNv] -f [name]
mail [-iInNv] [-u user]

Use your MTA directly? Sendmail for example has "-fname".

"Didn't work" is not proper troubleshooting. It doesn't tell me if you have any Mail Transport Agent installed, which one you have, which command you used and what errors you encountered.

ARS software is commercially licensed software as far as I know. If you have questions about using it please contact the vendor instead.

I apologize..I didn't get any error messages from sendmail and don't know where to look for any. The end result with sendmail was that no TT was created in Remedy (ex. sendmail username@domain.com < email_file). I was able to send an emails to other recipients using the example sendmail syntax...So I'm thinking the issue maybe with Remedy.
