Angry Lost Drive after format

I am a novice, after partitioning my hard disk Fuji 6.1 mb and trying to install Mandrake I cannot find the disk on windows, when I try to access the dik on partition magic it states "bad disk". It also shows error # 108 which I beleive is an architecture problem. I need to recover information on the disk how can I get the disk back functioning and is it possible to save files on the disk. did you resize the partition too small? If you went lower than your freespace available that will happen. Can you perform any functions in partition magic on that partition at all (i.e. copy the partition to another hard drive)? I would suggest copying it over to another hard drive or temporarily deleting the linux partitions and re-extending the windows partition long enough to back up the files you need on cd or some other media.
