logical drive and partition table

Hi there,

I just wanted to know whether making/changing logical partitions on an extended partition in linux would change the partition table or not.

Like, I have a system with 3 primary partitions and one extended and 5 logical drives on it. Now, I want to fdisk and merge some of my logical ones together to make them 2-3 rather than 5. Is this going to change the partition table or not because I'm not changing primary/extended partitions?

Nope - so long as you don't change the size of the extended.
