I want to create local man pages for my system.Could any one suggest how to proceed and where to save the pages in order to make it accessible from terminal?Does it require any modification in any of the configuration files?

- write textfile
- nroff <textfile> > $MANPATH/<manfile.number>

vi mymanpage
nroff mymanpage > /usr/share/man/man1/mymanpage.1

man mymanpage
