The strange thing about that is Sabayon is Gentoo not Debian.
After initializing kernel and going to verbose mode the following is the result :-

NB I have removed the 3rd line by enabling "coolnquiet" in the BIOS
The download has the correct checksum and i've burnt at the slowest speed...
I have written to DVD-R, DVD-RW and DVD RAM each one at least twice and the effect is the same ..they will not work on my other computer either . Does anyone have any ideas as to what is the problem
I have many other live Distros and they all work fine
Thanks for your reply Ace,
apparently the ISOLINUX line is correct...and the reason for the failure was that the
dvd drive (that is only 3mths old) will not read its own discs...but it is only on the 3.3 version of this distro , all other live dvd's seem to work OK.
I put in a the old drive and and everything is fine.
