Linux won't boot; cannot allocate memory
pls help...
our server is running rhel es 4 update 4 for x86_64. kernel version is 2.6.9-42.elsmp.
it encountered slow down and we had to reboot. however, it didn't reboot. it had several "cannot allocate memory" messages on every line during the boot process.
here's an exerpt from the boot process:
