When you created the virtual machine, what eth0 did you use? Is it bridged or nat? How is the host pc connected to the internet? Networking is usually automatically configured when you install redhat..

On the other hand, you may want to install Fedora instead of redhat.. this is just a suggestion...

try using bridged networking (configure vmware to start with bridged networking)...

I have nothing against RedHat9 but you may want to try other 'newer' linux distros. I will recommend simplymepis. I have also tried this to run on vmware. If you will use redhat 9, you will have a lot of configurations to setup and a lot of softwares upgrading need to be done.. (just my opinion)

Use vmnet8 and NAT. Use dhcp for obtain IP address. In /etc/resolv.conf add (example):
Code:
nameserver 192.168.220.2
