All? Really all?? Do you want to start by learning C so you can read the kernel sorce and see what it does for yourself?

But seriously, do you want to know whether it might be a useful substitute for your present OS? Do you want to know where to get it and which to choose? Or maybe what it is and how to make some basic (and not so basic) things work?

I find RUTE (link in my sig.) to be a great starting point for the last option.

Very helpful people here, but I would suggest being very focused and provide details of your enquiry.

Welcome,

Thanks.
Hey gang---read what he said.......
He is offering to teach US about Linux.

Final exam---pick one:
1 This is a joke
2 He is serious and is selling consulting time
3 He is offering free private lessons
4 He is simply trying to harvest e-mail addresses to use for spamming.

The trick is to find out without risking #4.....

EDIT: A peek at his posting history suggests some other answers
