line wrapping email

Is there some way to line wrap email using kubuntu 8.04 with seamonkey and gmail. For example reading this forum some lines are twice as wide as the window . changing text zoom makes text unreadable and continual horizontal scrolling is irksome

I've seen that from time to time, and can only attribute it to a browser rendering issue in the forums.. or a CODE Block of text that is wider than normal.

Have you tried a different browser to see if the issue goes away ?

so does the problem still exist in IE6 ?

I would give Firefox, Opera, or Safari as shot for testing purposes.

I still don't understand what you mean. This forum isn't e-mail to
begin with. Can you post an example screen-shot of the problem
you're trying to eliminate? What screen resolution are you using,
what font-sizes have you chosen?

Cheers,
Tink

line wrapping email

In Firefox preferences I have set the default minimum font at 16. when I look at LQO forum replies and questions and also when on the web some lines can be almost twice the length of my maximised window width .This requires horizontal scrolling to read the whole line which I find irksome Zooming out makes things too small to read comfortably. BTW in which forum do you recommend this query should have been posted??

No idea which forum, newbie is probably as good as any.

16 pt is a pretty large font - what screen resolution are you using?

I think the font size must be in pixels . On screen it looks like maybe 10pt. Resolution is 1280x1024

Well I checked on my computer, Linuxquestions.org still displays without a hertical scroll down to 800x600 (the slightlest zoom on opera tho, say 110% and one is displayed). I would say perhaps a screenshot might enlighten us to the situtation, it's very hard to help you with this because we can not really tell what's going on.
