Kubuntu Help


Does Kubuntu need to be conected to a network inorder to Install from a CD?

No, but you will need an internet connection to install any updates or software that isn't included on the CD.

read this thread, it might tell you what you need.

Thanks!

The issue I am haveing is Kbuntu gets to 87% and stops. It says it is geting time from Network time thingy....

Check this out:

scroll down and check out the "Alternative CD." I think that's probably your best bet for installing w/o a network connection. I'm sure there's a command you can add to the boot sequence to force Kubuntu to ignore the NTP segment of installation, but as a Linux noob myself, I have no clue what that command would be.
