KMail 1.11.4, KDE 4.2.4: I'm migrating from WinXP to Mandriva, and installed KMail at the weekend. Works fine, but I have a niggle - the message list displays headers grouped by month order. I'd like the option of having a simple list (no groups), and suspect that it could be done - but I haven't been able to find out how. I've checked in the Handbook without success, and a search in LQ hasn't turned up anything yet.

Any suggestions gratefully received. If this isn't the right place for a KMail query, please point me in the right direction.

Got it! Thanks be to Google, the answer was in another forum. On the right of the search bar are some icons - one suggestion was to click on the icon at the far right and select the "classic" theme, but I'd already done that. However, the icon next to it is "select aggregation mode" (hover the mouse over the icon and its title appears). From the choices offered, select "flat date view". That's all there is to it.

Glad to discover I'm not the only user to have found this display to be a problem.
