Kernel


hello... finally it installs redhat in my computer but now that installs not reconose the network card, the card of audio yes, but it does not work !!

i read about change the kernel verion,,, and maybe it fix it

Before You Upgrade

Since upgrading your kernel can be tricky, you should probably only do so when you absolutely have to. Typical reasons for this include:

You have installed newer hardware that wasn't previously supported.

Drivers for the hardware you do have are updated and you need to use them.

Most Important: Security holes have been found in earlier kernels and are fixed in the latest kernel.

More imformation,what kind of card,how do you connect to the internet,ect ect,I would work on that first,david

Which version of RedHat do you have and which NIC and sound card?

i forget that, all the devices are integrated,, they are nvidia the network card and sound card too.
