I'm having trouble playing mpeg video files under kde3. actually, I'm not so sure if it's only kde3.

when I try to play a video file, it loads up, but runs extremly slowly. this happens in both kde 3, and kde 2(I cant remember the exact version number offhand)

it could be that my pc is crap, and cant play the video. but if I run the same file in windows it's fine.

I've tried it in aktion, xanim and noatun, but noatun wont even play anything other than wav files.

I'm running suse 7.1

any ideas on what the problem might be?

I think the video player in kde sucks i would go with xine

i had the same problem to and xine cleaned up all up its a great gui movie player.
