Now i know there'a lot of question about kazaalite but i think i'm not far to reach my goal.
After a lot of search and pain i finally arrived to that spot when they say (Failed to create an empty document when i click on the icon of kazaalite and just to make me more furious i can see Kazaalite screen for a awhile.
Linux is a great thing but you got to have time and knowledge to play with that OS. I don't know if i'm gone get it at 51 ....i hope it will not take me 10 years to learn cause i'm gone quit before that
There are now native linux filesharing tools that use the kazaa network. There is NO NEED to go the trashy route of wine'ing your way to filesharing. The added bonus is you also get to connect up to the linux filesharing networks as well, kazaa doesn't *normally* do that
Just incase you wanted to still get kazaalite to work. You need to use a fake registry and 7 dll's. If you have trouble finding those email me and i will send them.
The reason i dont like the giFT way is it doesnt queue stuff up like kazaa, and doesnt look for more sources the right way. (This was a while ago last time i tried so may be better). I only have a 128/128 line and set kazaalite to get 2 things at once. Click about 40 mp3's, turn on speed up, go to sleep, wake up and they are done. giFT cant do this. It would look for all 40 at same time, doesnt look for more sources, etc. Again, maybe this has changed since last time i used it.
The official KaZaA Website now has instructions for installing on linux using wine, as well as locations for the requisite DLL's and the wine config file entries that you need.
Kudos to the KaZaA Lite team for the information I say!
I have download xmule and install it with yast since i'n using Suse 8.2 and if i go and take a look at my package it is install and protect.
But how can i run this program ...i see nothing to click on it or something that tells me to execute the program ?????
I'm sure that there is some nice alternative to Kazaalite but it is a pain when you're a newbie to configure a program on Linux.
I say help again cause i'm really lost
Many thanks to all
