K3B MP3 Decoder problems
Hello,
I am running Open-SuSe which obviously has the k3B burning application on it. I have an error when i load it up that says:
Mp3 Audio Decoder plugin not found.
K3b could not load or find the Mp3 decoder plugin. This means that you will not be able to create Audio CDs from Mp3 files. Many Linux distributions do not include Mp3 support for legal reasons.
Solution: To enable Mp3 support, please install the MAD Mp3 decoding library as well as the K3b MAD Mp3 decoder plugin (the latter may already be installed but not functional due to the missing libmad). Some distributions allow installation of Mp3 support via an online update tool (i.e. SuSE's YOU).
I can't find this update on the internet? Where do i get it and how do i install it? cheers joe.

Yeah, it's not called K3B mp3 plugin thats why - look for libmad in the repositories and one will say something like plugin (libmadplgin?)in the description. That's the one you need - you will probably need the plain libmad too.

Download the codecs one click install. It is here: http://opensuse-community.org/codecs-gnome.ymp When it opens check the advanced mode, approve the repositories to add, and then find on the list, the k3b codecs package.

A bit broader...
This is the more general link to the site on which you will find that codecs link cited above.
