K3B Decoder Issue

Hello again, I have just installed Fedora Core 2 on my secondary system and I am having issues burning MP3's in the O.S. I have fixed xmms and all other software to be able to read the MP3 format so I am aware of Redhat's position on that. At any regard I have installed lib mad and the development libraries and all corresponding software in order to make it function. I have used both "apt-get", "synaptic (apt-get)" and installing via source with K3B still unable to find the decoder. Is there any other steps that I should take in order to make this work? Thanks again.
