Just a first post from a newb in Australia

Just a "Hi" to all those that make up this community. New to Linux after many years break from playing a bit in Unix.

I think the trick is a bit of initial self-education before knowing enough to ask a
worthwhile question!

Would you believe there's a "LQ Member Intro" forum ?. No matter, welcome, and have a look around.
To save getting beaten up on for no good reason, make sure you take advantage of the "search" before posting. There is very little likelihood any of us can come up with an original q these days.
There is also an article on how to ask a "proper" (FSVO proper) question.

Gday.

Read this https://www.linuxquestions.org/linux...Ask_a_Question first, then pick a distro. Install it and use it for getting stuff done, play with it until it breaks and ask here if you have trouble fixing it. Have fun
