I am trying to install Java;

Step one went smoothly - place jdk_1_5*bin in redhat/SOURCES

Step two went smoothly - yum install yum-utils jpackage-utils rpm-build

Step three is: rpmbuild --rebuild java-1.5.0-sun*nosrc.rpm
and step three fails for the reasons below:

Any suggestions?

I don't understand why you have to rebuild it from source. You could just install the bin file or rpm from java.sun.com and it will work fine without all the rebuilding hassle.
